Izumo Seicha: Single Cultivar Saemidori Sencha 2024

This Single Cultivar Saemidori Sencha from Izumo Seicha has a vivid green colour and balanced umami sweet flavour profile.

This tea is cultivated and processed by Izumo Seicha using leaves from their tea garden in their their own factory. 

This tea has been steamed for slightly longer than their other sencha teas. The plants were also shaded for around 12 days resulting in more theanine and umami flavour compared with other sencha teas produced by Izumo Seicha. 

Steeping Notes: 3-5g | 200ml | 70°C | 60 seconds

About Izumo Seicha: 

Izumo Seicha was established in 2006 as the sister company of Tosuien, a family run tea farm established in 1907. Izumo Seicha specialises in green tea that is grown and processed in their own tea factory.  

President Yuta Oka, won the 1st prize in the individual division of the National Tea Judging Technique Competition in 2022. He was honoured as the best tea master in Japan!
