Cat Whiskers Herbal Tea

30g bag

This tea is named kumisukuchin in Japan, originating from the Malay word Kumis Kucing from the plant, cats whiskers. The cat whisker herb belongs to the mint family and can be found naturally in places such as South East Asia as well as the tropical regions of Australia.

In South East Asia and in parts of Europe, the leaf and stem are made into tea that is thought to have various medicinal properties. The tea is contains a high amount of rosmarinic acid and potassium. In fact, researchers internationally have been studying cat whiskers and have empirically provided evidence of its potential medical uses.

This tea has a reminiscent of chamomile and mint with aromas of honey left on the pallet after drinking.

Nakazen's cat whiskers herbal tea was carefully selected from only high-quality Kumiskutin whole plants (flowers, stems, leaves). A healthy tea packed with the blessings of nature.

Katsuo Nakamoto - Founder

"It all started from my wish for everyone to live a healthy, happy life...

I was hospitalised during my late twenties due to a kidney disease caused by overwork and stress. One day while I was at the hospital a friend of mine told me about a tea made of “kumis kuching (orthosiphon aristatus or cat’s whiskers)”. Without having much knowledge on this particular tea, I decided to try drinking it. To my surprise, the kidney got better after a while, and that is when I felt and experienced the effect of "kumisukuchin" tea. Once I left the hospital, I wanted to spread the word about my experience with this tea. This is how I got into the business, which I continue on until today.

I hope we will be able to provide products that will help support your healthy, happy life."
