Obubu Tea Farm: Dark Roast Hojicha
Obubu Tea Farm: Dark Roast Hojicha
This hojicha from Kyoto Obubu Tea Farm has been deep-roasted in order to create a dark, smokey tea with slightly sweet chocolate notes.
60g | 20g
As this tea is roasted for such a long time there is almost no caffeine present making it a perfect drink for the evenings after a meal and before bed.
Depending on how strong you decide to brew this tea you can get lighter sweeter notes of vanilla or a deeper smokier tobacco fragrance.
Steeping Notes: We highly recommend playing around with the amount of tea and length of brew with this hojicha. It has a wide flavour profile depending on how you decide to steep the leaves.
- For a lighter sweeter brew: 3g | 1min | boiling water | 300ml
- For a darker smokier brew: 5g | 2min | boiling water | 300ml
