Suikaen Takayama Chasen: Umi Katakuchi Whisking Bowl

Handblown Glass Katakuchi matcha whisking bowl made for Suikaen Takayamachasen by The Nara Glass Blowing Studio 

Expertly crafted handblown whisking bowls made by the Nara Glass Studio by Mr.Kawakita for Suikaen. Each bowl is made individually and takes approximately 2 days to complete. Forming the shape of the poring lip is especially hard and takes great skill.  

Each piece is inlaid with silver foil creating unique variations in each piece. The handmade nature also means that slight variation in shape, size and colouration occur making each piece even more special.
