Yusando's popular hojicha, grown in Okuyamato, a region with extreme temperature differences, is blended with their own, home grown brown rice.
Organically grown without use of chemical fertilisers or pesticides both the tea and rice are cultivated with love and care by the small team at Yusando Tea Garden, across Nara and Kyoto prefectures.
The hojicha used in this blend is characterised by a rich roasted aroma and refreshing taste. This smooth and fragrant hojicha is blended with toasty rice creating a comforting low caffeine drink that can be enjoyed at any time of day.
Manufactured using traditional techniques: These tea leaves have been grown during the rainy season and are carefully roasted according to ancient methods. The bounty of nature and traditional techniques are combined to create a richly flavoured roasted green tea with a harmonious balance of aroma and sweetness.
